MomsRising Together, a million member grassroots powerhouse, today announced that it has made independent expenditures of more than $200,000 in support of a slate of 25 female congressional candidates from 21 states. The 24 candidates for the House of Representatives are all challengers. MomsRising Together is also making independent expenditures in support of incumbent U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND).
The independent expenditures -- including ads relating to moms using their ‘BS detectors’ to hold those Republicans accountable for their health care votes who claim they’ll protect us from the insurance corporations that bankroll their campaigns -- are in support of:

MomsRising Together supports candidates who mirror its membership and the country, and supports moms, women and women of color who are running for office. In selecting candidates to support in 2018, the organization also looks for places where moms can have an impact, prioritizing close races and, this year, strategic races where emerging leaders can rise and make a significant difference.
