Ads Featuring DACA Recipient, Latina Moms Running in AZ, NC, NV, and PA
The nation’s largest and most active moms group is putting unprecedented resources into turning out pro-care, pro-abortion-rights Latina moms for Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz in four swing states for next Tuesday’s election. MomsRising Together, the online and on-the-ground organization with 1,044,000 members and their families, has invested $655,000 in online and radio ads and targeted text messages as part of its unprecedented work to turn out Latina mom voters by November 5.
The investment includes:
- Spending $275,000 on pro-Kamala Harris streaming and radio ads. The Spanish-language radio spots are running on Spanish-language stations in Arizona, North Carolina, Nevada and Pennsylvania, with $25,000 of it devoted to spots on stations in Las Vegas. The streaming spots target swing Latina voters.
- A $205,000 digital buy that will collectively reach more than 175,000 Latinas in Arizona, North Carolina, Nevada and Pennsylvania. One spot, featuring a Latina grandmother, is available here and the other, featuring a DACA recipient who is a teacher, is here. Both target low-frequency, likely Democratic voters.
- Up to $50,000 for Latina influencers to push out Spanish-language pro-Harris posts on social media channels. Examples are here and here.
- $25,000 for texts designed to get-out-the-vote among Latina voters.
- $25,000 for ads designed to turn out Puerto Rican voters in swing states.
- $75,000 for digital content on curated Facebook pages to educate and persuade Latina and other voters in Arizona and Nevada ahead of the election.
“This election will determine our country’s future – and Latinas are making our voices heard,” said MamásConPoder Senior Vice President Xochitl Oseguera. “More than 36 million Latinos are eligible to vote this year, and the United States has 94 million mom voters. We are committed to making child and elder care affordable, passing paid family and medical leave, preventing gun violence, and ensuring our families can access affordable health care, including birth control, abortion care, cancer screenings, and other essential services. And Latinos recognize that immigrants strengthen our economy and are essential care workers who keep us healthy. We support a path to citizenship for DREAMers and we reject the ugly, racist, divisive rhetoric that former President Trump and other Republicans too often use. That’s why we’re doing so much to turn out Latina moms for Kamala Harris this year.”
